Our Vision
Through innovative and accessible practices, we’ll shape the future workforce with a community focus, cutting-edge techniques, high-tech equipment, and a passion for supporting business and individual economic opportunities. Modular, independent units integrated together give students a deep dive into mechatronics while instructors challenge them with Capstone projects varying from apprentice to master level. The result? Students are job-ready when they graduate.
Capabilities
ROOTS is addressing, like no one else, what the industry is asking for by offering best-in-class cobots, products, and services with unique approach at an exceptional value. Our concept: IMAGINE, EDUCATE, INTEGRATE, allows educators to start with a blank slate and have various components at students’ fingertips so they may be heavily involved in the assembly, calibration, programming, and maintenance of a robotic work cell.
Duplicating manufacturing processes and problem solving – each level will educate students and instructors about science, technology, and engineering within the world of robotics to better understand real-life industry needs.
Open interfaces which conform to industrial standards – The Robotically Operated Open Training System is an engineered, customized approach that freely allows build and teardown, imagination, and integration.
Flexible cobot cells to industry standards – Steps include mount, wire, program, fabricate, calibrate, teach, plan, develop, plug, and produce — all while competing and having fun making a real manufacturing cell.
Significant on-site train-the-trainer and student coaching – We will continuously evolve and be flexible while pushing the boundaries to connect training and local workforce needs closing the skills gap.
